They are not psychological, clinical, legal, human-resources, or management advice, and they are not a substitute for the judgment of qualified professionals. The six-question self-assessment is a reflection aid — it is not a validated psychometric instrument and must not be used for hiring, promotion, evaluation, or any other employment decision.

Your goals, reflections, and assessment results are stored only in your browser on your device (see the Privacy Notice). Because this is a prototype, no backup, recovery, or migration of that data is provided or guaranteed. Export your plan regularly if you want to keep it.

Content ownership

The content, design, and frameworks on this site belong to NAPE or are used with permission. You may use the site for your own professional development; please don't republish or repurpose its content without permission.

Governance and the NAPE By-Laws

NAPE is governed by its membership, its Board of Directors, and its Executive Committee under the NAPE By-Laws (revised November 20, 2023). This prototype operates within that structure and does not alter it:

• Program authority. The Board of Directors is responsible for carrying out the purposes and objectives of the Association, and the Executive Committee administers NAPE's duties within the policies the Board sets. Any executive leadership program, its eligibility rules, and its terms are decided through that process, not by this site.
• Membership is separate. Nothing on this site creates, renews, or changes NAPE membership. Membership levels, dues, and voting privileges are defined in the By-Laws (Article I); membership runs for one year from the date an application is accepted and dues are paid. Joining the interest list is not a membership application.
• Corporate members and sponsors. Corporate members are business entities working in community supervision. Under the By-Laws they have no voting rights and cannot hold Board positions. Where this site lists event sponsors, that listing reflects their support for NAPE events and is not an endorsement by NAPE. Members should follow their own agency's procurement and ethics rules in any dealings with vendors.
• Speaking for NAPE. Members using the partner-connection tool write on behalf of their own agencies. Only the Board and the officers it designates may speak for or commit the Association. An introduction from the NAPE office, whose Executive Director serves as a liaison for constituents, is a courtesy and not an endorsement.
• Records. Interest-list, feedback, and opted-in partner-connection progress submissions are held by NAPE's secretariat as Association records and are handled as described in the Privacy Notice.
• If there is a conflict. The By-Laws control over anything on this site. This summary is provided for convenience, is not legal advice, and may lag behind amendments, which the By-Laws allow the Board to adopt with 30 days' notice to the membership (Article X). Request the current By-Laws from the NAPE office.
